Carlos Huizar joined the pastoral staff at Westwood Christian Assembly as Student Ministries Pastors in February of 2009.  Prior to coming to Westwood, he served as youth pastor at West Seattle Christian Church for two and a half years. 

Pastor Carlos graduated High School in the Seattle area.  Pastor Carlos graduate in 2005 with a degree in Psychology, and a teaching certificate from Western Washington University.  

Pastor Carlos has a passion to watch teens grow closer to God and have their lives transformed by their faith and relationship. He enjoys spending time with teens and families in a partnership to help teens navigate through their teenage years, a very exciting time of growth and self-discovery. 

Pastor Carlos deeply desires for the teens here in South West Seattle to know who Jesus Christ is and what that means for their lives.  His desire is to teach, equip, and train students to meet Jesus, go out in to the world and share it with others, to support the greater body of Christ and to live like Jesus were coming tomorrow.  As the Great Commission tells us in Matthew 28 “Go into the world, make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey my commands and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” 

Pastor Carlos is very excited and very grateful to be a part of ministry here at Westwood Christian Assembly. He shares in the Pastor’s vision to Encourage, Encounter and Engage, and looks forward to serving you.
