MISSION STATEMENT
Because everybody needs a church home…Westwood Christian Assembly is a family of believers who are passionate about ENCOUNTERING God, ENCOURAGING people towards Christian maturity, and ENGAGING them in active and practical ministry within the church and to the community.
ENCOUNTERING GOD is the foundation of our home. We encounter God through corporate worship, prayer, and reading the Scriptures. (2 Timothy 3:16)
ENCOURAGMENT are the walls of our home. It our intention to encourage believers towards spiritual maturity, healing, wholeness through inspiring classes, active small groups, and by aiding in the development of meaningful relationships.
ENGAGING believers is the roof of our home. Active believers are healthy believers! We are intention about Christians engaging in active, and practical ministry within the church and to the community. (For example: Music ministries, host/greeter, altar ministry, prayer, teaching, and evangelism.)
THE FRONT DOOR – A place of welcome. The front door is the place in our home that serves as a welcome area for guests and friends. It's the first step, and it's often the only chance we get to make our guests feel comfortable enough to return. Here we open our arms and hearts to all who the Lord brings to WCA! It's here we say to our guests and friends..."Welcome Home!"

THE FAMILY ROOM – Where people become family! It is here where men and women are called to Discipleship. The life-long process of becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We do that best by cultivating spiritual disciplines in our daily lives, (Bible reading, prayer, regular fellowship with other believers…) It is in the family room that God calls us to maturity and healing. The Bible the good news that leads to wholeness. We will deliberately lead believers to spiritual, physical, mental wholeness.
THE KITCHEN – Where work happens with excellence! Delicious meals are prepared. Rooms are decorated, Worship teams are assembled. Musicals are rehearsed and performed with the purpose of outreach and encouragement. Musicians practice, altar workers are trained, mentoring occurs, counseling is experienced…all by the workers in the kitchen of our home. Christians are never healthier than when they involved in active Christian service. Westwood believes and teaches that “Every committed member at WCA is a minister and every minister must be in ministry!” God has also gifted and called each of us to serve in the area of our giftedness. One of the ways we discover that giftedness is through our Welcome Home 301 class which includes a discovery of our personal S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences in life.) God has given each person special natural abilities and passions that He wants us to use for Him – he has also imparted Spiritual gifts to each of us to be discovered and practiced.
