VISION:
The vision for Fusion Student Ministry is to see students’ lives transform into godly young men and women who live out their faith and teach others about it in every aspect of their lives whether at school, at home, at church, at work. We desire to see kids’ lives fused with the Love of Jesus Christ and the life change that comes with a genuine relationship with God.

Sunday School:
Meets at 10 am, Sunday, in the Fireside Room, on the bottom floor of the church.
Student Ministries:
Every Sunday Night at 6pm, join us in the Youth Room for an awesome time of games, fellowship, worship, and bible teaching. Doors open at 5:30 for pre-service hang-out where you can play game tables, hang out, and buy soda and candy.
April-June: We are studying about a relationship with God, based on the scripture in Matt 22:37 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul...” Each week we will unpack a different aspect of God’s personality. Come join us!
Carlos and Jennifer Huizar joined the pastoral staff at Westwood Christian Assembly as Student Ministries Pastors in February of 2009. They have been involved in youth ministry together for over 3 years. Prior to coming to Westwood, they served as youth pastors at West Seattle Christian Church for two and a half years.
Pastor Carlos and Jenn both graduated High School in the Seattle area. Jenn was born and raised right in here in West Seattle. They met in college at Western Washington University, were they both graduated. Pastor Carlos graduate in 2005 with a degree in Psychology, and a teaching certificate. Jenn graduated 2006 with a degree in social services. They were married that very summer, when they took their first pastoral position with West Seattle.
Both Pastor Carlos and Jenn have a passion to watch teens grow closer to God and have their lives transformed by their faith and relationship. They enjoy spending time with teens and families in a partnership to help teens navigate through their teenage years, a very exciting time of growth and self-discovery.
They deeply desire for the teens here in South West Seattle to know who Jesus Christ is and what that means for their lives. Their desire is to teach, equip, and train students to meet Jesus, go out in to the world and share it with others, to support the greater body of Christ and to live like Jesus were coming tomorrow. As the Great Commission tells us in Matthew 28 “Go into the world, make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey my commands and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Pastor Carlos and Jennifer are very excited and very grateful to be a part of ministry here at Westwood Christian Assembly. They share in the Pastor’s vision to Encourage, Encounter and Engage, and look forward to serving you.
